GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WZZM) - It's a busy weekend for sports in West Michigan, with three major events on the calendar. This is good news for the local economy -- but not for someone trying to find a hotel room.

There are more than 7,200 hotel rooms around Kent County, and most of them are booked this weekend.

Nationally, sports tourism is worth more than $8 billion annually. West Michigan's slice of that pie is about $30 million.
