Venues across West Michigan will host events as part of the Michigan Summer Games.

 

The Meijer State Games of Michigan Summer Games posted an online map of venues earlier this month. The venues are displayed as pins on the map, and people can click on the pin to see information on the venue.

 

The Opening Ceremony is June 25 at Fifth Third Ballpark. The tournament concludes June 28, with several sports taking place prior in June and also in August...

It’s been announced that an all-star team from Hanoi, Viet Nam is tentatively scheduled to play at Game Day USA’s national tournament in mid-July at the Art Van Sports Complex.

 

Mike Moyzis, vice president of special events for Game Day USA, made that announcement last week while talking about the Majestic Prospect Games this Friday through Sunday at Art Van.

An extremely busy May comes to an end this weekend at Art Van Sports Complex with the Great Lakes Major NIT baseball tournament on Saturday and Sunday.

 

The tournament will be sponsored by United States Specialty Sports Association (USSSA). The divisions for the tournament are 14U, 13U, 12U and 10U.

 

The USSSA was coming off a tournament at Art Van over the Memorial Day weekend, featuring a win by the Fenton Tigers 3-2 in the 13U title game. There were four separate divisions in the tournament with 25 different teams...
