Internships

Thank you for your interest in interning with the West Michigan Sports Commission. The West Michigan Sports Commission is a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering economic development by attracting sporting events to improve our citizens' quality of life and elevate the brand of Grand Rapids.

The West Michigan Sports Commission offers paid internships. Internships provide a great insight into event planning and execution. Selected interns have the opportunity to earn college credit and gain valuable experience toward their future careers.

Events Intern (currently filled):
Part-Time

Duties include assisting the events department with planning sporting events they work with. The intern could help with projects such as communicating with tournament directors, managing websites, updating calendars, grassroots marketing, hospitality coordinating, equipment research, etc. The tasks vary based on the needs of the clients and the events we are hosting.

Winter Internships (January-April):
