College Basketball Great Lakes Invitational
Calvin University Men’s Basketball has been selected to host the 2024 Great Lakes Invitational. The two-day event features eight nationally prominent programs from the Great Lakes region as well as Division III teams from around the country.
Gymnastics on the Grand

Great Lakes Invitational
Michigan Tech is hosting the 20234Great Lakes Invitational (GLI) at Van Andel Arena® in Grand Rapids on December 29-30. Teams will compete for the MacInnes Cup in a two-day, single-elimination tournament.
Big Bear Hockey: Avalanche Tournament
Big Bear Tournaments hosts their Avalanche Tournament, January 17-20 at Southside Ice Arena and Kentwood Ice Center. The tournament includes 10U Squirt/Atom, 12U Peewee, 14U Bantam, 16U HSJV/Midget and 18U HSV/Midget divisions.

2025 World Ice Fishing Championships
USAngling has selected Lake Tamarack in the greater Grand Rapids area to host the 2025 World Ice Fishing Championships (WIFC). The event will take place February 11-16 and is expected to host teams from 12 different countries.
The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Grand Rapids Airport will be the headquarter hotel for the event.

Women’s Sports & Health Expo
The inaugural Women’s Sports & Health Expo takes place February 22, 2025, at the DeVos Place Convention Center. The event will feature a blend of interactive showcases, educational sessions, industry-leading vendors, and a celebration of local athletes and achievements.
Star Spirit Grand Nationals
Join Star Spirit at their first ever Grand Nationals where they combine cheer and dance teams to earn a USAF Worlds Bid.
The event will take place March 22-23 at the DeVos Place Convention Center.
Nuway Nationals
Nuway is the nation’s leading youth sports combat tournament company. This event will include Wrestling & Youth MMA.
Amway River Bank Run
The largest 25K in the country. It features a wheelchair and handcycle 25K along with 25K relay, 10K, 5K run, and a 5K walk. This run also features the USATF 25 km Open Championship.

The Hartford Nationals - Move United
Grand Rapids was selected to host The Hartford Nationals in 2025 and 2026. The event hosted by Move United is the largest and longest-running national championship for athletes with a physical disability, visual impairment, or intellectual disability.
